Fidelity and Adaptation in Evidence-Based Practices: The KEEP experience
A common question when implementing evidence-based practices is whether and how you can change or adapt them to meet local needs, without altering the content so much that the intervention is no longer effective. This webinar will examine this issue using the KEEP model (https://www.keepfostering.org) as an example. The KEEP Implementation team at the Oregon Social Learning Center will share the strategies and “lessons learned” to adapt KEEP for different cultures and languages. In addition, they will discuss to use of Affinity groups to address to serve specialty groups such as families parenting LGBTQ+ youth, and those caring for undocumented children. Processes for adaptation and the tension between adaptation and fidelity will be explored.
